It is no secret that SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) has forced changes in daily life all over the world. After gracefully serving Tucson's elders for nearly 30 years, Desert Treasure Assisted Living has transformed operations to emphasize a different type of life safety than ever before. Equipped with all of the "new basics" (PPE), administration, nursing and care staff follow stringent disinfection and infection control protocols prescribed by the CDC in conjuction with the Pima County Health Department.
In their daily activities at Desert Treasure and at home, all on staff vow to mitigate CV-19. In the workplace and in the community, staff wear company provided N-95 resipirator masks. Those who interact with our most vulnerable and valuable treasures, our residents, are incentivized to utilize non-contact modalities in and outside of work. Living as safely as possible is a lifestyle, not just an occupation.
